It’s been in the pipeline for a while now, but Criterion have finally dropped more specifics about the upcoming ‘bike’ patch – including their planned release of September 18th, that’s right folks, if all goes to plan the patch will be available for download in this Thursday.
I applaud Criterion for consistently updating Burnout – this is the kind of support all games wish they had, and I honestly hope the cost pays off, if only to see this become a model for future use.
Two bikes will be included, featuring male or female characters – but even if bikes aren’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of other reasons to catch this update.
- Start on a whole new progression to earn your Bike License.
- 38 new against-the-clock race events – Burning Ride and Midnight Ride.
- A brand new in-game 24 hr day / night cycle that impacts traffic density and available events. (It’s fully customisable – you can make it day/night/change the clock speed – it’s up to you.)
- Dynamic weather
- 70 more Freeburn Challenges too
